Open Question: Question about marketing call?

Hello,
I got a call supposedly from my bank authenticating transactions posted on to my credit card. I was prompted to enter last 4 digits of soc sec # and given a transaction amount to verify if that was a valid transaction (1 to agree, 2 to disagree). When I pressed 2, the automatic prompt said “Transferring to fraud protection department” and the call got disconnected.

My question is - Would somebody be able to do anything with my last 4 digits of soc security #? I am concerned that they may have got the rest of the digits and with this 4 digits, could I become an Identity theft victim?

Please advise options to protect myself from this situation.

Thanks,
SV
