Resolved Question: lay-off protection?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Discover card has a feature where they will post-pone your payment for 2 years if you are unemployed/hospitalized, etc.. You can’t use the card during that time frame but your card remains in good standing so you don’t have the credit decline.

Does anyone know if B/A offers this as well? With Discover, it costs like $0.89 for every $100 on your statement each month. So if you don’t use the card, you don’t get the charge. I would like to do something like this for at least one of my other cards as well.

he really was murdered
the gun had no prints
his credit card was stolen out of his wallet
he bought his gun before rehab/detox for protection not suicide
his “suicide note” didn’t say anything about killing himself it said he was quitting the music business and moving away the only part about killing himself was in the second “suicide note that courtney love kept in her possesion for over a month after his death and the only part about killing himself was at the end and inconsistant with Kurt’s handwriting
Kurt was going to divorce Courtney and Courtney was livid and said: “get me the meanest most vicious attourney”
** Kurt had three times the lethal dose of heroin in his system so he would have been
unconcious and unable to fire the gun and even if it was possible why would he have had to he would have died from overdosing anyway
COURTNEY GOT AWAY WITH
What is your feedback?

Resolved Question: How do they get my details and how do I stop it - junk mail for credit cards etc? What about data protection?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Everytime I move I still get these stupid letters in the mail where a company like Littlewoods / Barclays etc sends you something saying ‘you’ve won money!’ and they want my details like birthday sent back to them ‘to claim’.

Firstly, how do they know my full name when I am very careful about giving details away and I always specify that I don’t want third parties to be informed of my details when I open a bank account etc and when I’ve never had anything to do with these companies? Secondly, how can I stop it?

Having worked for a bank a few years ago I am very careful with my information because I saw so many cases of identity fraud. I hate the thought of moving house and having these things sent to the new people with some of my personal details on it. Isn’t there some legal stance I can take? These things only make me NOT want to ever shop at Littlewoods ever in the future! Any advice? Thanks.
I just found this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/08/31/npost31.xml

I am appalled that Royal Mail sells our details!!!

Resolved Question: I have an EIN and a DBA, but have not filed Articles of Incorporation, can I deduct expenses?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

I renovated a home this past year (my first rehab) and got an EIN and DBA to start a business doing this work for others as well as to continue rehabbing homes. Unfortunatley, I have a full time job that is commissioned and made very little this year as well as lost child support and ended up on the verge of bankruptcy. I pulled out my 401k to purchase the home I rehabbed and am now going to have to pay the penalty, not to mention losing the protection of my 401k now that it’s out there. I want to know if I can write off any of my “sweat equity” for the work I did as well as for materials, etc, to minor if it’s not really a business because of this. Also, is it better to have a registered agent who is not in the company for better protection from personal lawsuits? I am looking for a full time job and need this money to survive, but I also do not want to give up my dream business. I am afraid my personal debts are going to ruin my chances. I had perfect credit until my job fell apart

Resolved Question: Isn’t the timing of Eliot Spitzer’s hooker escapade funny, since he was just blowing the whistle on Bush?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

On February 18, Eliot Spitzer published an article exposing the Bush administration’s accountability in creating the current credit crisis. He wrote how in 2003 the OCC, a Treasury Department office, preempted state consumer protection laws and emplaced new rules preventing states from going after national banks for predatory lending practices.

Then only a few weeks later, the FBI and IRS out his call girl escapades.

Was this coincidence, or an instance of silencing a whistleblower?
