Resolved Question: Identity theft problem?
My fiance got a warrant for his arrest Wed for trespassing. I’ve called tons of Harris county (Houston) Sheriff and bail bondsmen. The license number on the warrant is not only not his.. but its not even registered to Texas.. he’s never had a license or ID anywhere but in Harris county. I know he needs to post bond.. which is why we waited untill today (so he could get paid). but my question is, does he have to turn himself into the jail and be thrown in jail for lord only knows how long for the paperwork to be processed and get himself a court date to fight it?
I’m very confused on this matter. There should be a different way to handle this.
We haven’t even run a credit check to see if there’s credit cards in his name that we don’t know about.
